Journey to Gaytopia by Joel Craig is a graphic novel about two broke actors by the name of Joel Craig and Stephen Foster. In this story, they make their big break into their acting career on  The Julianne Moore and Madonna Half Hour Comedy Show. Unfortunately before they could start their first episode, Madonna was kidnapped by  Faye Dunaway’s evil twin sister Mae. Their journey takes them to the City of Gaytopia and along the way get help from some new friends.

There’s three things that I’ll admit right now. The first, it’s been a few years since I’ve read a graphic Novel. The second, I’ve never read on as an electronic publication. The third, I truly enjoyed Journey to Gaytopia. I couldn’t help but laugh about Madonna getting kidnapped by Mae Dunaway. And the fact that she was Faye Dunaway’s evil twin sister? Classic to say the least. Then there was the Diva/Snark commentary between Madonna and Stephen that had me cracking up.

For anyone who enjoys Graphic Novels, I would highly recommend Journey to Gaytopia by Joel Craig.

JOEL CRAIG is a nurse by day but actor and writer by night and lives with his musician husband, Donovan Holden. They have been married twice with the second time finally being legal. In addition to Journey to Gaytopia, Joel has also written Welcome To Nursing HELLo, a Graphic Memoir.
